I believe that the Imaginos album is some of the best work that Blue Oyster Cult ever recorded. Released in 1988, it turns out the album itself had been in development by Bouchard and Sandy Pearlman for years, since the earliest days of BOC.
An off-hand comment on Twitter led me to discover that a new re-imagined version is coming out this week, and I’m pretty excited. In fact, I’ve spent several hours researching the thing online and found some gems!
